January 2013 - February 2013 Serialized data to XML and JSON and modified their MVC 3 Dynamic Reporting application to load data from these serialized files instead of the database so that the salesmen could demo the product with no network connection.

October 2011 - January 2013 Designed and implemented an application for the engineers to use to manage their process improvement projects using C# and SQL Server. The application included complex reports with graphs using DevExpress XtraReports Suite as well as exports to Excel and PowerPoint. It also exposed pieces to the company’s intranet using asp.net. Also designed and implemented around a dozen web pages to display metrics about the steel making process.

Specific responsibilities include developing an HTML editor for on-line document editing as well as various middle-tier components to allow the management of personnel, the running of ad hoc queries, and report generation.

June 2000 – October 2000: Design and initial development of a radical new E-Commerce application combining off-line functionality with on-line services. A range of products using the core (proprietary) technology was launched in Europe beginning in November 2000

Euphony Communications

February - April 2000: Lead programmer and designer for development of an interim version of current software capable of supporting multi-national operations. Project was completed and delivered on time and on budget, the system went live on May 1 2000

October 1999 – February 2000: Analysis, design and planning for a full multi-national client-server system with both PC and Web interfaces to replace current systems by the end of Summer 2000. Development undertaken using Oracle back end and Visual FoxPro for front end and middle tier

June 1999 – October 1999: Lead programmer and designer for the implementation of a data exchange interface between an existing VFP application and an Oracle Financials installation

Feb 1999 – May 1999: Invited, as part of a team of Senior Consultants recruited from three continents, to complete inside three months a project that had been in development for over two years. This is an extremely large and complex VFP application (over 200 users) and was taken live on 10th May – one week ahead of schedule

1996-1999 TREMCO, INC., Beachwoord, OH

As Senior MIS Analyst I developed applications for the purpose of sales force automation. I also developed an application for resale to the company's commercial roofing customers to help them manage their roofing investment. The application has an integrated cad viewer, a viewer for roof top photographs and scanned in warranties, as well as a query by example module. Languages used: FoxPro 2.6 for Windows, Visual FoxPro 3.0 and 5.0, Visual Basic 3.0 and 4.0, Microsoft Access 2.0, and Delphi 1.0.

1995-1996 MIDWEST SOLUTIONS, INC., Beachwood, OH

Employed as a systems analyst to work on a wide variety of projects for several clients using LINC II to access DMS II database on Unisys A series mainframes, PROGRESS / UNIX, and FoxPro 2.6 for Windows and DOS. Projects included the design and development of an integrated marketing and mass mailing package in FoxPro 2.6 for Windows utilizing Dynamic Data Exchange with Microsoft Word, the development of several bar code label packages in FoxPro 2.6 for DOS that integrated a user-friendly front end with a commercial bar code label writing package, and the development of a complete A/R package in PROGRESS

1993-1995 OFFICE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, Middleburge Heights, OH

The company is a medical billing service as well as a software developer of medical practice management systems. Originally employed as a programmer / analyst using FoxPro 2.0 for DOS and Microsoft QuickBasic to enhance, develop, and debug the existing package. Eventually designed and implemented a new software package. The capabilities of this new package included the ability to handle UB-82 electronic billing to Medicare Part A, Blue Cross / Blue Shield, and Community Mutual. I also developed a stand alone package to read spooled HCFA 1500 claims, convert them to the correct database format, and run existing software in order to submit claims electronically using National Standard Format.

1987 – 1993 PREDICTIVE SERVICES, INC., Akron, OH

Formerly TWT, Medina, Ohio The company, an OEM, manufactures and services computerized dialers used for telemarketing and telecollections. Initially hired as a programmer / analyst to develop software using Microsoft QuickBasic, 8086 Assembler, and FoxBase+. Eventually became involved in all aspects of the business as I acquired a 25% interest in the company. As part owner, my tasks included new software development, system design, documentation, end user support, system installation, and troubleshooting both hardware and software problems. The dialing unit is a turnkey system that has been used to interface with a variety of hosts including the DEC MicroVax and IBM AS400. 


Employed as a programmer / analyst to do retail pharmacy development using COBOL on the NEC 350 mini series computer
